Shut your eyes and imagine a superbly tempered dark chocolate coating to a sublimely balanced espresso fudge centre. And all handmade. Heather created Umber and Ecru 7 years ago and her little chocolate factory (it's only her) has a view of the River Dart overlooking Dartmouth.
Why espresso fudge? Heather was inspired by the butter-coffee theory for training for an Ironman. And so she took her fully caffeinated coffee and rich organic butter and got creating!
Her chocolates can take up to 3 days to make.
P.S. I am not a fan of fudge but this blew me away. A superb balance of espresso with the dark chocolate and no claggy overly sweet end note.
